This remindsof the superman movie!

There’ss no way to make your own land without effecting the rest of the planet!!! Certainly you’re going to effect the world map if nothign else, with two huge massive island projects.

“The Palm Islands are the three largest man-made islands being built on the coast of Dubai, United Arab Emirates. They are date palm tree shaped islands are being developed by dubai-based real estate develoers Al Nakheel Properties.”

What do you think of this?
“The World Islands are a collection of man-made islands shaped into the continents of the world, located off the coast of Dubai in the United Arab Emirates. It will consist of 300 small private artificial islands divided into four categories – private homes, estate homes, dream resorts, and community islands. Each island will range from 250 to 900 thousand square feet (23.2 to 83.6 thousand square meters) in size, with 50 to 100 metres (164 to 328 feet) of water between each island. It will cover a total area of 9 kilometers (5.4 miles) in length and 6 kilometers (3.6 miles) in width, surrounded by an oval shaped breakwater. The only means of transportation between the islands will be by marine or air transport.”

Thanks for your thoughts and ideas on this…

Dubai, HongKong and Singapore…. there is a similarity, but what are they?

According to what i read about these three city – states which is Dubai, HongKong and Singapore, they rival each other or in other words, they are competing with each other because i think they have the same economic systems, like for example Dubai, HongKong and Singapore compete each other in the sea ports, like Dubai Ports (Dubai), the PSA (Singapore) and Kwai Chung Port (Hong Kong). They also share the same shopping festival events, these three also have the best aviation services in the world like Emirates, Singapore Airlines, and Cathay Pacific. What im asking is what is the specific thing which make these three cities similar in their economy, as well as their competition. I just want a serious answer. And I appreciate more if anyone answer these seriously. I just want specific facts.. Thank you..

Will you ever go to the top of the Burj Dubai, the world’s tallest building at 818 meters?

If you ever travelled there, would you go to the top? Anyone here that scared of heights? I am somewhat, but geez, i would have to really think about it, “do i really wanna go to the top of that building? 810 meters, 2684 feet? geez!” And after this building is finished, they plan to build another tower in Dubai at 3200 feet! In 20 years, there will probably be a 4000 feet high tower built somewhere. The sky’s the limit!

How different Arab countries have been affected by the current global financial crisis. Countries that were more involved with the US market such as the Gulf states have suffered more than countries like Lebanon and Syria, who have received a recent influx of Arab investment as a result.
