First I was in a sort of farm with my aunt elizabeth (she was wearing a safari suit, we were in africa) and we were studying monkeys that lived in minuscule houses under about 5 inches of water. Then we went inside a big building, and it was filled with water and had a sort of palm-tree kind of arrangement of docks. (like the palm tree artificial island they have in dubai.) There were about 20 people, one on each of the dock, and we all went in the water and started learning freestyle. Then we went into this big stadium full of people and my friend Wendy was walking back and forth on a platform with a tazer in each hand, and there was a guy on either side of her, both also walking back and forth, and they were trying not to get tazed.
What exactly does this mean? o_o;
edit: The monkeys were completely happy under the water. ;o
the two guys wendy was tazing seemed to be happy with it, it was like a game.
My parents have property on the Palm Jebel and will be moving there full time in 2009 or 2010 I believe (I’m 25 so I don’t live with them anymore). Anyways, I was wondering, how does the school system work for those living on the Nakheel properties? My brother will be attending and he will be 13 at the time (my parents don’t know too much yet). Will the schools be off the island and on the mainland? Like where? What is the transportation, is there shuttle trams (which is what I believe take you on and off the palms) that will stop off there?
How does Dubai plan to work their school system in the Free Zones?
For example, could someone grow a crop of corn (just using corn as ana example) on an artificial island? I’ve seen those artificial islands in Dubai (The Palms they’re called I think). They have sandy beaches the house have grass lawns and sometimes some trees and shrubs. So would it be possible to grow a large amount of vegetables on an artificial island? Also how big can an artificial island be? Is there like a limit on how big they can be or not? Please post. Thanks.
Are artificial (man-made) islands safe from hurricanes and tsunamis, or are they more likley to disappear from the storms because they weren’t naturally there?
I am talking about places like The Palm islands and the World islands in dubai
is that why dubai is becoming a tourism spectacle? snowskiing in the desert, palm islands, the world islands, gold shopping. the rich mans playground or what?
