Who is buying expensive residences in downtown dubai or other places?

I am not a resident of UAE, but I want to buy some property in Dubai. My problem is that I have in cash UAE dirhams, but I cannot send them via bank transfer since my american bank don’t accept such currency to be deposited…And to make things even worse I cannot bring the cash in Dubai myself because the airport has restrictions of 40 000 dirhams…(my amount is 10 times more).
So, I am interested if I can carry more than 40 000 dirhams if I declare them at the airport?
Any other ways to import the currency???
