Den restlichen Tag unser Reise haben wir uns weitere ehrgeizige Bauprojekte in Dubai angesehen. Der sich schon im Bau befindliche Burj Dubai wird nach seiner Fertigstellung 2009 mit seiner noch geheim gehaltenen Höhe, welche aber vermutlich 818 m betragen wird, das mit Abstand höchste Bauwerk der Welt werden. Er wird den Mittelpunkt des neuen Stadtzentrums Downtown Dubai bilden. Wenn man vor dem Burj Dubai steht kommt man aus dem Staunen nicht mehr raus. Diese Höhe ist einfach überwältigend, auch wenn noch längst nicht die endgültige Höhe erreicht ist. Der absolute Hammer ? Dubai ist eine Reise wert, auch wenn noch längst noch nicht alles fertig ist.
